Choosing a Wedding Film Maker

If you are still uncertain about having a wedding video then consider this. How will you remember this fantastic day? How will you share those memories with friends and family in years to come? Will your photos be enough to capture the sounds, the atmosphere, and the sheer buzz of the day?

Your wedding is unique. Your wedding film should be unique too. Ensure that you choose a Film Makerwho will produce your film how you want it. Wedding Videography

Can they show you examples of their work to prove that the quality and style is what you want?

Most importantly, you and your film maker must get on well together. They must understand and empathise with your intentions for your big day. You may want a formal wedding , or informal record of the day, or maybe funky, or romantic , or just plain frivolous. You'll want your video to capture that mood.

The best film makers will also offer various extra services, e.g. a short video to capture the essence of the day, a video of the bride's preparations, a video montage of bride & groom photographs, interviews with the guests, and a website to publish wedding details, film clips & still photos.

You will be entrusting the filming of your big day to strangers so make sure they are reliable. Will they turn up on time for appointments? Will they deliver what they promise? Will they be discrete and unobtrusive at the wedding? Will they empathise with the occasion?

And finally… Are they wedding specialists? Do they use several cameras to capture not only the bride and groom but also the guests' reactions? Do they use digital film production equipment for maximum versatility and quality? Do they produce DVDs and VHS tapes?

Use these guidelines to choose from your shortlist of film makers and bear in mind that you generally get what you pay for.
